About the workshop

What makes our inner fire burn is not only activity and movement, but also space for being, nourishment and nurture.

During this workshop, we will take some much needed time for inner connection through restorative yoga and deep rest.

The workshop will teach you how to take the time to breathe, relax, nurture, ground and balance yourself with the vital practices of Restorative Yoga.

We begin with a meditation practice designed to bring us into our body and invite softness with a sense of relaxation into the spine, body and mind.

Following a variety of restorative forward bend options to take us out of our head and into our body, we start our practice at floor level with a slow-flowing restorative sequence, aided by supportive props and natural and organic alternate nostril breathing.

After a short break for tea and chat, we will explore more technical backbend and inversion restorative postures using props alone, with partners and in groups, helping us to understand how to set up and how to support each other and ourselves in these more complex restorative poses, using props that enable inversions to be savoured for a while with ease.

We end with a deep long, luxurious savasana practice to integrate all the things we have experienced and learned during the session.

Aromatherapy oils reawaken our senses, and sweet treats and tea revive and soothe us!
