Autumn: The gateway to new beginnings

by

As the leaves develop golden and brown hues, the nights draw in and the air begins to bite, we all know instinctively it is time to begin our retreat and enjoy the fruits of our labours – autumn has begun and it’s now we start to harvest our crops before our contraction begins during winter.

Autumn is a time when we naturally take stock, clean out and begin to reap the benefits from our spring and summer endeavours. It’s a time when you should ‘make time’ to tie up unfinished business, removing life’s debris in order to achieve a clear headspace. A time to draw a line under any outstanding issues that may encroach on our well-being as we prepare for rest and retreat into the winter months.

Often in our society our busy lives can stop us allowing ourselves the time to do this, pushing against our natural cycle. Take a moment this autumn to consider what it is that you need to do to make it through to spring, how do you intend to arrive relaxed and reinvigorated ready for the new beginnings being offered? Ask yourself – do I need to clear out and tidy-up any loose ends, that will in turn allow me the much needed rest in winter as I arrive at the gateway of new beginnings?

Join me this autumn and beyond as I guide you through the slower seasons with an array of tailored workshops and yoga practices, designed to embrace the changes ahead.
